Character vs. Talent

Well sorry I haven’t blogged in awhile. Live is getting kinda crazy. Which is good better than a boring life. Well so close buying my airline ticket to the UK to start my church work in Scotland. Prayers are very much needed to calm my nerves!

So anyway today some drama has broken out between two of my high school friends. Not going into their details it just brought to focus something I learned along time ago. Ever wonder why popularity make people go crazy? We watch great innocent children grow in the public eye then at a certain point in their age they go crazy. Examples, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, ect.

When I was in Masters Commission we had a saying, “Never let your talent take you where your character can’t sustain you.” Meaning don’t get so wrapped up into what you can do, that you forget who you are. Cause one day something may happen you might lose the ability to use your talent, then what do you have? Nothing.

Never let you talent define you. You talent highlights who you are but its just the spotlight to show your character. It should never be the focus of the spotlight. If you find you have a talent, try stripping yourself of it and see what you have…
